All your data is stored locally on your computer:

  • API collections are saved locally in your system
  • Environment variables are stored locally
  • Application settings and preferences are stored locally
  • Request history is maintained locally on your device

You have full control over this data and can delete it at any time by uninstalling the application or clearing the application data folder.

3. Network Requests

When you use ReqFly to make API requests:

  • Requests are made directly from your computer to your specified endpoints
  • We do not intercept, log, or have access to these requests
  • All network traffic goes directly between your computer and your APIs
  • No data passes through our servers

4. Updates and Downloads

When you download or update ReqFly:

  • We may collect basic download statistics (number of downloads, general geographic region)
  • This information is used solely to understand our user base and improve the software
  • No personally identifiable information is collected

5. Imported Data

When you import collections from Insomnia or other tools:

  • The import process happens entirely on your local machine
  • We do not access, view, or store any imported data
  • All imported data remains on your computer

ReqFly does not integrate with any third-party analytics, tracking, or data collection services. The application operates entirely offline regarding data collection.

7. Windows runFullTrust Capability

ReqFly uses the Windows runFullTrust capability. Here's what this means and why it's necessary:

Why runFullTrust is Required:

ReqFly is built with Tauri, a framework that combines a web-based frontend with a native Rust backend. This architecture requires full system access to perform essential operations:

  • Reading and writing collection files to your local file system
  • Creating and managing application directories
  • Executing HTTP/HTTPS network requests to test APIs
  • Importing and exporting data files (e.g., Insomnia collections)
  • Persisting user settings and application state outside the UWP sandbox

What We Do NOT Do:

  • We do not access system files outside the application's scope
  • We do not collect or transmit your data to external servers
  • We do not perform privileged operations beyond what's necessary
  • We do not monitor your system or other applications
  • We do not execute arbitrary code or scripts on your system

The runFullTrust capability is used exclusively to enable the Tauri desktop backend to function properly. This is a standard requirement for desktop applications built with modern frameworks that need to interact with the file system and perform network operations.

8. Security

Since all data is stored locally on your computer:

  • Your data security depends on your computer's security measures
  • We recommend using appropriate security measures on your device
  • Keep your operating system and security software up to date
  • Be cautious when storing sensitive API keys or credentials

9. Children's Privacy

ReqFly is not intended for use by children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect any information from children.
